DVD Stand for You

With the recent out burst of movies, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, it’s very probable that you’re running out of places to store your collection. Most movie collections find their way into albums, but for a few of us we like to keep the cases and protect the discs in a DVD stand or DVD cabinet.  Utilizing a cabinet doesn’t mean you have to interfere with your current decor.  Most manufactures make them in many different colors and wood types.  They range in price from less than $100 to over $1000.  Ikea even makes an inexpensive, but very nice Ikea DVD stand.

Storage options come in all shapes and sizes, from baskets to bins. While these are all great options, the standard entertainment center doesn’t hold more than a couple of consoles, a DVD player and a few games or movies. For the avid collector, or even the novice, investing in a DVD cabinet is a wise decision.  If you are protective of your collection, consider finding a cabinet with doors that lock.  You can keep children or your roommates out of your prized possessions!

DVD racks can flank your normal entertainment center in the living room, become a part of your television set in your bedroom or create a wall of interest in your media room. Your living room is where you live and it only makes sense to store all of the interesting stuff there. Your bedroom, on the other hand, is more of a private place; a sanctuary to relax at the end of the day. You can store your favorite movies in a small stand right next to the bed or TV in order to make them readily accessible.

The media room is a place for gathering that will most likely accommodate large quantities of movies. With movie theater style, you’re sure to impress with an entire wall of movies stored in the right stand. Imagine how much more impressive it would be with five or six DVD stands stacked together full of movies to choose from.  There are even companies that make DVD stands that can hold 1000 DVDs.

Even in your child’s room, it’s a practical decision to get a DVD stand that  movies can be easily accessed by little hands. Storage is an option, but in order to make it effective, DVD stands are the best option for organization and with the many styles, your design can easily be complimented.
